Heritage Gardening Volunteer

Belgrave Hall and Gardens and Abbey Pumping Station are looking for volunteers to join their flourishing gardening groups. The Belgrave group generally meet on a Thursday and due to the popularity of this group volunteer opportunities also sometimes take place on other days in the week.

Volunteers are required to work in the beautiful historic gardens of Belgrave Hall or the majestic grounds of Abbey Pumping Station . Willingness to work and learn is more important than gardening experience, although there are opportunities for volunteers with an interest in particular aspects of heritage gardens. Tasks include all aspects of garden maintenance.

• Volunteers need to be interested in plants and gardens and have a genuine desire to work outside, doing gardening.

• Volunteers must be willing to learn new skills and techniques.

• Volunteers must be interested in working in a heritage site which is used by the public.
