Gallery Engagement Guide

Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Newarke Houses Museum are looking for Gallery Engagement volunteers who can help museum visitors access our exhibitions and collections.

Based on gallery and supported by the museums team, volunteers use their knowledge and skills to engage visitors with the stories behind the collections on display.

Volunteers can select their shifts and preferred site based on their availability, interests and expertise.

Volunteers are also able to volunteer at specialist exhibitions where they can help visitors engage with displays, handling collections and museum interactives.

Volunteers must have excellent customer service skills and confidence when engaging with the general public.
