Horticultural Grounds Maintenance Adult Work Experience

Available all year round, Grounds Maintenance Work Experience with Parks & Open Spaces will look great on your CV if you are considering a career in horticulture or if you fancy trying something new. We offer placements of up to eight weeks on parks and cemeteries across Leicester city and aim to place applicants near to where they live. The day typically starts around 7.30am and finishes at 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be partnered with one of our Supervisor Craft Gardeners, who will guide you through the tasks if you are unsure. Previous applicants have enjoyed getting back into the working environment and some have been successful in finding employment afterwards, with help from the reference letter they gained from us after completing their placement.
